Qasida Burda Shareef - Chapter 1

اَلْحَمْدُلِلّٰهِ مُنْشِی الْخَلْقِ مِنْ عَدَمٖ
ثُمَّ الصَّلوٰةُ عَلیٰ الْمُخْتَارِ فِی الْقَدَمِ

مَوْلَایَ صَلِ وَسَلِّمْ دَآئِمًا اَبَدًا

عَلیٰ حَبِیْبِكَ خَیْرِ الْخَلْقِ كُلِّهِمٖ

اَمِنْ تَذَكُّرِ جِیْرَانٍ بِذِیْ سَلَمٖ
مَزَجْتَ دَمْعًا جَرٰی مِنْ مُّقْلَةٍ بِدَمٖ

اَمْ هَبَّتِ الرِّیْحُ مِنْ تِلْقَآءِ كَاظِمَةٍ

اَوْ اَوْ مَضَ الْبَرْقُ فِی الظَّلْمَآءِ مِنْ اِضَمٖ

فَمَا لِعَیْنَیْكَ اِنْ قُلْتَ اكْفُفَا هَمَتَا

وَمَا لِقَلْبِكَ اِنْ قُلْتَ اسْتَفِقْ یَهِمٖ

اَیَحْسَبُ الصَّبُّ اَنَّ الْحُبَّ مُنْكَتِمٌ

مَّابَیْنَ مُنْسَجِمٍ مِّنْهُ وَمُضَطَرِمٖ

لَوْلَا الْهَوَیٰ لَمْ تُرِقْ دَمْعًا عَلیٰ طَلَلٍ

وَّلَا اَرَقْتَ لِذِكْرِ الْبَانِ وَالْعَلَمٖ

فَكَیْفَ تُنْكِرُ حُبًّا بَعْدَمَا شَهِدَتْ

بِهٖ عَلَیْكَ عُدُوْلُ الدَّمْعِ وَالسَّقَمٖ
